ABOUT US

We were both born and raised in rural Iowa.  We fell in love with the beautiful scenery in Tennessee.  We love spending time outdoors with our animals.  Horseback riding is a hobby that we both grew up enjoying.  We have spent many days riding horses all over the United States and have decided to settle down in Eastern Tennessee doing what we love.  We enjoying meeting new people and look forward to getting to know each and everyone of you.

There is plenty to do and see out of the saddle.  The Big South Fork National Park is considered one of East Tennessee's best kept secrets.  There are several parts of the Big South Fork National Park just minutes from the campsite.

Kayaking/canoe (bring your own) launches are within a 15-20 minutes drive from the campground, hiking trails within 5-10 minutes (Honey Creek Overlook).   Our first priority is to our horse & mule people, but we do welcome regular campers in need of a camping spot to return to at the end of the day's activities.

The Honey Creek Horse Camp does not provide horses for campers, it's a "bring your own" operation.  We simply offer the use of our campsites & stalls on a daily rental basis.

The Honey Creek Horse Camp is a campground designed to facilitate RV/Horse trailer camping for horse owners who wish to explore the many miles of equestrian trails in Big South Fork National Park & neighboring areas.  Campsites and stalls are daily rentals. The campsites are furnished with full water & electrical hookups. We also have a central dump station.

We stay out of the way of our patrons camping & riding experience as much as possible.  Please keep in mind that all of the Double Arch Retreat is private property and the road in the campground is a private road. We plan to expand our services to accommodate a larger variety of campers & riders.
